As the name implies, Sirlinksalot is loaded with Reality Shows TV Links. All of the popular TV shows have their own link directory, including American Idol, Survivor, and Big Brother. You also get a load of links to TV celebrity sites, such as Hannah Montana, and Lost. You get links to movie sites, TV game shows, travel sites, literature sites such as Harry Potter, and popular consumer websites. The site looks very plain, but very practical. All of the links are on one page and you can quickly find the categories and shows you are looking for.

Kabillion is a free online broadband, streaming TV and video site that targets kids. It was recommended to us by one of our readers, as it is it is designed to be a kids safe site where kids can browse for all kinds of entertainment. This is one site where parents do not have to worry about the content that their kids might see – unlike unrestricted sites such as YouTube.

Comcast Video on Demand is a big player on the Kabillion site. There are lots of shows that kids can choose from such as new cartoons “Mix Master; King of Cards”, the graphic action of “The Invisible Man”, the CG cartoon comedy “Pet Alien” as well as the hit comedy “Bobby’s World” starring Howie Mandel. Each month, Kabillion.com features new, fresh interactive content including some great music, sports events, video games and podcasts.

The site invites browsing, so kids can look for links to new episodes of their favorite TV show. Highlighted this week is Bobby’s World. Kids can join in the chat community and participate, in the latest polls. This is a great, kids-safe site for parents and kids, to enjoy their time together – though make sure the kids get plenty of outdoor exercise.

Blip.TV is trying to compete against YouTube by adding a twist to its services. It is offering free hosting, promotion, and advertising revenue for TV show producers, videobloggers, andpodcasters. The actually put in writing that revenues will be shared 50/50. This is unlike most advertising platforms, which don’t put anything in writing (e.g. Adsense), and take what they want.

Blip.TV has become immensely popular featuring many episodic TV series such as “The Clip Show”, which reviews clips from popular podcasts, and “Foreign Body” a quirky drama about Cal and Petra in India. There is an active community to help develop new TV and video content and to help publicize your creative works. A great place to build and view original TV and video links.

CCTV International is the English-language version of China’s Central Television. This is a 24-hour news channel, China´s largest national TV network. Currently, CCTV is focusing its coverage on the recent earthquake as well as the Olympics. The site is available in many languages and has over 45 million subscribers outside China. Featured on the site are links to CCTV Bloggers, streaming TV newscasts, popular videos and photos, and featured programming. This is a state run site, so don’t expect too much in terms of independent insight, but you will get the view of world news events from the point of view of the Chinese government and newscasters.

NASA TV is a really great site that I stumbled upon. This weekend, on May 25, 2008, they are going to send free live streaming TV coverage of the Phoenix landing on Mars, at 6:00PM EDT. Totally cool.

There is free live streaming TV most of the time. I’m watching an astronaut in the Mars spacecraft right now. There is a great archive also. I know that space travel has become a little ho-hum (what can compete against American Idol?), but I still can’t help marveling at the thought that we are getting live TV shows from a spacecraft that is nearing Mars, thousands of miles up in space.
