This link has been on a few forums, and has recently been mentioned in one of my favorite web-comics, but Google Maps street view is freakin’ awesome. I can’t wait ’til they can just guide you through your entire trip on the internet before you even get in your car.

However, I don’t think I’m the only one concerned about Google being everywhere… I think I just found Google in my pants…

Gross.

Just enter the city in the search field, and all of the hotels will pop-up on a map. The hotel information is coming from Hotels.com, one of the most complete hotel databases on the Internet. The maps are very clear and can be zoomed in and out for more clarity. A very nice idea and we’ll put this on our Best Links to Best Sites list.

ARTOFTRAVEL.com contains a simple, no nonsense, one page site that has some good advice on how to get cheap fares and some of the best links to try out. The other 24 chapters written by an independent traveler of 35 countries contains a tips, commentary, and humor for travelers of every kind. No ads on this site. Just good ideas. If you are looking for some new ideas on how to get some cheap, discounted flights, give this site a read.

We like the idea of UnusualHotelsoftheWorld. It is a collection of unusual places to stay when traveling. The site seems to be quite new, but there is enough ideas here to make it worth a trip. The Ice hotel in Quebec, Canada, one modeled after the famous Ice Hotel in Iceland, not only got our attention but received a WOW factor on the site. This site is a nice idea and shows that there is still plenty of space for new and create sites on the web.
