Looking for Video Links? Here are My Favorite Video Sites

I know how much all you readers out there in internet-land love watching me dance. (I’m the tall dude, with the orange shirt, in the middle).

However, just in case you feel the need to stray, feel free to browse around this updated list (06/21/07) of links to video sites for all your online video viewing guilty pleasures.

Stage6
Stage6 is one of mt favorite video sites out there right now. Created by DivX, Stage6 uses the popular codec to allows users to upload video of substantially higher quality than any other video site currently functioning. They’ve got a fair amount of content up right now including some great anime series and tons of HD trailers for the upcoming summer blockbusters. Except Optimus Prime has lips… that just makes me sad.

Veoh
Veoh is good. It allows long videos, decent quality, and I don’t think I’ve ever had it crash on me. Nothing here sounds that interesting I know, the cool thing about Veoh is the dedication to creating the television experience on the web. It works similar to Joost, but with a browser viewing option that Joost doesn’t have, and the ability for users to create their own content (both channels and videos). If you’re still on the fence, check out my old post about Veoh for a little more info.

Dailymotion
Dailymotion doesn’t have to take a back seat to any other video clip site, even YouTube. This site has a full set of links to the best online TV, movies and film clips anywhere on the Internet. It is one of the primary site used by the online TV and movie aggregation sites. You’ll find plenty of high quality news, funny, music, politics, gaming, and webcam video clips. I know that you have only a limited amount of time and can’t spend all of your time watching video clips, so we’re sorry we’ve made it difficult for you by adding Dailymotion to your already crowded YouTube list of links.

MetaCafe
MetaCafe is trying hard to make itself different from the other top video clip sites. They have their own Producer Awards to make it easy for you to find the best video clips on their site. The quality of the clips is high, so you won’t be disappointed and the speed is also excellent. They definitely are in the same league as YouTube and Dailymotion.

YouTube
YouTube is the granddaddy of all video clip sites. The first place to go, but definitely not the only one.

Blip.TV
Blip.TV is one of those TV and video sites is relatively new to me, so if you use it make sure to let me know in the comments. ‘Cuz, you know, I like free video ^_^. Anyways, from browsing around the site, blip has two (2) features that really make it stand out from the crowd. Blip.TV doesn’t make your choose between great quality Flash video and compatibility with iTunes. Your videoscan should work everywhere, no question. Blip.tv supports every video format under the sun, from Flash 8 (much higher quality than most Flash video) to Quicktime (for the all-important iTunes) to DivX and 3gp (we think cell phones are cool, too).
