A new Digg/Technorati competitor has just been launched and is moving up the popularity charts. Spotplex.com provides internet users with real-time ranking of blog articles based on actual impression count. Bloggers who wish to be ranked, incorporate a Spotplex widget (a window into Spotplex) onto their blog site. We’re not going to participate, because we found that the widget takes too long to load and will likely frustrate our readers. However, you can go directly to Spotplex to see what is happening in the world of blogging. You can find the hot news today, this week, or this month in real time at Spotplex. Spotplex explains that what the lists of articles that appears on their site of articles people are not what readers recommended or voted for, but a list of articles read most in a given timeframe.
