FoxAttacks Counter-Attacks Fox TV News
Fox TV News didn’t invent jingoism - just modernized it. But you have to admire their chutzbah in claiming to be “fair and balanced”. Heir to lineage that began with their patriarch William Randolph Hearst, the father of American yellow journalism and jingoism, Fox TV News seems to want to jump-start wars. Why? Maybe because they help their TV ratings? Maybe because they don’t have to fight them? There are more than a few FOX TV broadcasters who look like they are fit enough to be at the front lines in Iraq.
The evolution of network news into entertainment and now jingoism was all too accurately predicted by the Paddy Chayefsky classic film “Network“, which was released in 1976. Fox Attacks, is a blog and video clip site that has dozens of TV links that focuses on the Fox TV News “method” to script the news. Besides the TV link, we have a poll.
