Blip.TV is trying to compete against YouTube by adding a twist to its services. It is offering free hosting, promotion, and advertising revenue for TV show producers, videobloggers, andpodcasters. The actually put in writing that revenues will be shared 50/50. This is unlike most advertising platforms, which don’t put anything in writing (e.g. Adsense), and take what they want.
Blip.TV has become immensely popular featuring many episodic TV series such as “The Clip Show”, which reviews clips from popular podcasts, and “Foreign Body” a quirky drama about Cal and Petra in India.
