TV Links - Vote for American Idol Season 7 Top 10 Girls

American Idol has been consistent this year, but so far not really exciting. It seems like everyone wants to play it safe, except for David Archuleta, who is such a natural wonder, that he does not need to play it safe.

Right now, it looks like it is pretty clear from yesterday’s vote that David Archuleta is the favorite among the guys. I am a bit surprised that Jason Castro did so well, since I didn’t think his performance was that memorable. On the other hand, he does have a certain star quality. So for now, it looks like David Archuleta is the one to beat. No surprise. As for whose, leaving? It looks like Jason Yeager and Luke Menard are your choices to go. I agree. I think that they have gone as far as they should go. Question is, can anyone step up among the boys and challenge Archuleta? My choice is still David Hernandez.

Today, we vote for the girls. The performances were all good last night, but for me no real standouts. Brooke White chose to sing “Your So Vain”, looking right at Simon White. She is definitely playing that “good girl” part to the hilt while luring it the very susceptible Simon who must actually believe these young girls are enthralled with him. Ramiele Malubay showed off her very robust voice, but with an unmemorable song. Carly Smithson has to be considered a favorite also, but I totally forgot her performance. I know she loved her song, but it was rather bland for me. Sayesha Mercado has lots of charisma and a great voice, but she also sounds to me rather ordinary right now.

So, I’m not sure what to make of the girls. They are all entertaining but totally unmemorable last night. I’ll give my nod to Brooke White. As for who to go, I think I think it is time for Kady Malloy who is simply boring and Alaina Whitaker who have consistently underperformed.

OK. This is what I think, time for you to vote:
